The Jardin d'Acclimatation and the Fondation Louis Vuitton are collaborating to host a weekend family festival for all ages in a celebration of art, nature, music, games and architecture.

Musical awareness for small ears, a cosmopolitan party, creative or sports workshops, delicious food to try, quirky concerts, a super-parade and fun tours set the tempo for this three-day festival. Starting on Friday evening, children become the focus of attention – from the Auditorium to the Green Mirror area of the Jardin, by way of the terraces or the exhibition galleries – and all the families, who will receive a joyful, artistic welcome, will be able to move between the Fondation and the Jardin to enjoy the exciting array of activities on offer.

AGES 0-3 / DURATION: 30 mins / AUDITORIUM – FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON

Jesse Lucas allows his inspiration and imagination to flow freely through his modular synthesiser, creating evocative soundscapes for toddlers and parents within an intimate bubble of electronic loops and lighting effects. Inspired by the pared-back ambient recordings of Brian Eno, this reverie leads you gently through natural sounds (animal calls, raindrops, rolling waves...) accompanied by images projected onto a central pyramid.

“SUPER PARADE” WORKSHOP + PARADE

10.30 AM - 12 PM & 2 PM - 4 PM

AGES 6+ / LIMITED PLACES / GREEN MIRROR - JARDIN D’ACCLIMATATION

1ST PARADE FROM 12.30 p.m.-1.00 p.m.

2ND PARADE FROM 4.00 p.m.-4.30 p.m. By Guillaumit

Get ready to parade! In this workshop you will be able to make a mask to colour before taking part in the Super Parade. Join in the fun and become part of the show by roaming with the family around the parade's five creatures, representing the five senses, and their Brazilian band. This series of five costumes grew out of the desire to revisit the masks and the traditional, popular figure of the parade by using today's technologies. A mobile application, presented during the workshop, will make it possible to create interactions with the costumes and the masks.

The year is 1913 and all of Paris is celebrating the opening of the Fondation, the first flying museum in history, designed by the architectural genius Frank Gehry. This building is capable of flying and floating, in order to disseminate culture all over the world. When a group of visitors attends the start of a guided tour, a loud noise is heard... an explosion! There's a saboteur on board the Fondation. There's no time to wait for the police; the visitors, accompanied by the mediator, must prevent him from carrying out any more acts. The culprit has to be found and his infernal machine defused.
