“Guignol! Guignol!”, the children chant in unison, impatient to see their idol. Made of wood, the hero from Lyon and his friends are always ready to bring the house down during live shows full of mischief and inspired by well-known stories and tales. It is an opportunity for young spectators to be amazed by the adventures of the most famous puppet in France and for parents to take an enjoyable trip down memory lane to their childhoods. The puppet has been in the Jardin d’Acclimatation of Paris since 1953 and is housed in the capital’s most beautiful puppet theatre.
