Sunday 17 October at 3pm and 4pm
- 17th October 2021
For one afternoon, to the furious rhythms of the Bodhrán, an Irish tambourine, of the flute, and to the triple time of the jig, immerse yourself in the folklore of the Emerald Isle and get into the swing of the dance! The Owen's Friends group's five musicians will give a spirited performance of a repertoire inspired by traditional Irish music and Celtic culture–Boys of Boulogne, by Fabien Moryoussef, Scottiche Come Back, by Ronan Vilain, and Sunshine, by Grégory Jolivet. They will accompany the 4 dancers of the Slan Irish Dance Company, trained at the Sarah Clark Academy, the prestigious French school of Irish dance. Together, they will share with you the frenzy from across the water.
There will be dancing, rhythm, swinging and tapping of feet.
